24 Hour Technology Cut off

For a class assignment I was challenged to go 24 hours with out technology! YES! 24 HOURS WITH NO TV , CELL PHONES, PANDORA, TWITTER, INSTAGRAM, OR even SNAPCHAT! As hard as I thought this was gonna be it actually was rather easy. I wrote down a little journal writing after twelve hours into it and it said ” It is twelve hours after starting time of my 24 hours without technology. I indeed am using a FM radio but not a land line because that just was not handy at all. The FM radio was borrowed and it was covered in dust and you could tell it was of no use.  Well the FM radio out smarted me and its owner considering we did not know how to set a alarm on it. I “thought” I had set one but rising up exactly at 8 this morning let me know otherwise, as I quickly had to throw on clothes and make it, “Late”, to my 8 o’clock class. ( which was luckily two buildings away from my dorm and not across the campus).

Other than that little mishap, it actually was not bad at all considering I still had great music, shout out to 100.9 quick FM, they helped make this challenge not so dreading.  I found myself getting more well needed sleep, cleaning up, and getting ahead on some work, so I actually found myself more productive.

“Technological progress has merely provided us with more efficient means for going backwards.”
Aldous Huxley

It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity.

–Albert Einstein

The most technologically efficient machine that man has ever invented is the book.
